Notes: A very large and scarce decorative glass decanter created in the 1970-80s by Alfredo Barbini for his Murano glassworks.
It was made with a complex and skillful method called 'incalmo', in which two (or more) hemispheres of nearly molten glass are joined together and worked until flat and straight, providing a sharp line between two or more colors of glass . This piece is 'double incalmo', with three distinct bands of colour: garnet red, light and a light ocher yellow.
It has a cupped neck
The decanter is signed on the side, near the base.
